Sam Wells

After gaining a degree in Sports Science combined with Mathematics in York, Sam moved back to her home town of Rotherham to take up an ACA training contract in a local general practice. After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 1993, she ventured south to work for a larger firm, gaining exposure to larger and a more varied portfolio of clients. Following a brief sojourn into industry, she joined LFF in September 1999, where she became a partner in 2006 and qualified as a Chartered Tax Adviser in 2011 achieving first time passes in her professional examinations. She is now a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
Sam is responsible for a varied general practice portfolio including charities / not for profit, accounts, management accounting, and taxation compliance and advisory work.
After a successful playing career, Sam devotes her spare time to England Korfball in her roles as the Finance Officer to the National Governing Body and National League Co-Ordinator.
